Bloodstained fue lanzado originalmente en Kickstarter en 2015 y recuerda al apogeo de Koji Igarashi con la serie Castlevania, cuando reinventó el modo de juego de la serie y ayudó a cimentar el estilo de juego Metroidvania.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night está disponible en Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS4 y PC.
