Golden Joystick: Ganador Gears of War
Nintendo Wii también comparte honores. Los prestigiosos premios Golden Joystick han proclamado los títulos victoriosos de este año en sus diferentes categorías. La vigésimoquinta edición de los premios Golden Joystick Awards da el protagonismo a Epic Games con Gears of War, que ha recibido cuatro premios, entre ellos el de "Juego del Año". WiiSports ha recibido el galardón de "Mejor juego Deportivo", acompañado de Nintendo, "Mejor Editora", y Wii, "Mejor Innovación".
Entre los mejores juegos de cada plataforma se encuentran títulos como El Señor de los Anillos Shadow of Angmar (PC), The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii) o el citado Gears of War (Xbox 360). El premio a "Mejor Banda Sonora" ha sido para Guitar Hero II.
